Discover a world bursting with colour
Spring is a gorgeous time to head the campsite.
The fresh spring air will blow away all the winter cobwebs and you can marvel at the beauty of the world in bloom.
The countryside is vivid with colour, lambs are frolicking and birds are singing. It’s an enchanting slice of natural paradise that the whole family can enjoy.
Holidaying out of the main summer season means it’s quieter so you can relax with a more peaceful break.
So make the most of all those spring bank holidays and enjoy the great outdoors with an extended weekend at the campsite.
What you’ll need
Tents
Compact easy pitch tents are ideal for off season camping. They’re quick to erect, easy to carry and give you plenty of space for a short trip. You’ll be set up in no time.
Sleeping bags
Spring nights can be chilly so go for a thicker 2-3 season sleeping bag. Mummy sleeping bags are more compact for easy carrying and have the added bonus of keeping legs warmer. Pair one with and a lightweight self inflating mattress and sleep happy.
Furniture
For shorter breaks, you’ll want easy-to-carry foldable table and chairs that pack light and can be stored out the way when not in use. Choose furniture that you can use both inside and outside the tent so you can adapt to the weather.
Accessories
A large coolbag is ideal for spring breaks as they can double as a picnic bag for day trips and don’t take up much space. The ground may be damp so invest in a good footprint to protect your tent. A heater can warm up chilly evenings.
