1. Ensure all gear is clean and dry

2. Repair any damage or faults

3. Store camping gear in a dark, cool, dry place free from vermin

4. Keep fuels in an outhouse away from habitation

5. Store SIMs with the valve open behind a wardrobe 

6. Store sleeping bags and tents loosely packed if you cannot hang them up

7. Do not store tent poles and pegs with the tent fabric in case they corrode

8. Remove batteries from lanterns etc

9. Try to keep all your gear together

10. Make a check list so you do not forget anything
