OUTWELL CARING CHOICE
At Outwell, we are committed to helping reduce our environmental impact. We believe that every effort counts, and that meaningful progress is created through continuous improvement, considered choices and a constant drive to raise the bar.
That is why we keep optimising our products and processes to identify opportunities that can make a difference. From the first product idea to the moment our equipment reaches campers, we consider each step of the journey. Our aim is to create long-lasting products that deliver trusted performance while reducing impact wherever possible.
For our retail partners, Outwell Caring Choice provides clear and credible product stories that support customer dialogue, strengthen product value and help meet growing consumer expectations for more considered camping products.
Considered material choices
A great product starts with carefully selected materials. At Outwell, we draw on our in-depth knowledge of fabrics, construction and performance to make considered material choices that support long-lasting quality while reducing impact where possible. We continue to optimise our fabrics by removing PFAS across a wide range of product categories and by using recycled polyester to reduce the need for virgin materials where possible.
With the SS27 collection, we are introducing solution-dyed fabric across a much wider range of products, including all polyester camping tents and awnings, plus selected furniture. Unlike traditional dyeing, where fabric is immersed in coloured water and washed several times using additional water at each stage, solution dyeing adds pigment directly to the raw material during fibre production. This helps create longer-lasting colour with improved resistance to fading, while contributing to significant water savings and cleaner wastewater.
For us, it is a strong example of how trusted Outwell quality and more resource-conscious production go hand in hand.
Prolonging product life
We believe in the quality of our products, and we want them to bring joy to campers for many years. That is why we have made access to spare parts simple and convenient.
Spare parts are available through both Dealernet and brand website. The ordering process is straightforward: by entering the product number, all available spare parts are displayed, making them quick and easy to order with a single click.
This supports product longevity, helps reduce waste and contributes to satisfied customers who can continue to enjoy the Outwell products they trust season after season.
Reducing plastic packaging
We continuously work to reduce the amount of plastic used in our packaging. Over two years, we halved our plastic packaging use by reviewing where plastic is used and assessing whether it is necessary for each product.
Our initiatives include replacing plastic strips with alternative wiring solutions where possible and reducing the use of polybags by introducing alternatives such as mesh- and paper bags.
To create a clear overview of our packaging materials, we have integrated packaging details into our product quality reports. This makes it easier to identify where improvements can be made. Today, choosing the right packaging materials is a natural part of our product development process.
